Steri-Trac® 2+

CSSD and endoscopy departments rely on sterilants and disinfection chemicals such as peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. While these chemicals are important to sterilisation and disinfection processes, vapours may enter the surrounding work area during normal workflows, equipment faults, leaks, handling, or unusual events.

Because the presence of these chemicals is not always visible or easily recognised, and periodic sampling only captures a snapshot in time, departments need objective information to better understand potential exposure and evaluate whether their safety controls are working as intended.

When sterilants and disinfection chemicals are in use, assumptions are not enough.

ChemDAQ® provides continuous fixed-area monitoring for peracetic acid (PAA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), giving teams the objective data needed to better understand their work environment, make informed decisions, and reduce risk.

The Steri-Trac® 2+ Fixed Area Monitor connects with ChemDAQ’s E-Cell® sensors to continuously measure vapour concentrations and alert teams when levels rise above set thresholds.

Additional monitoring accessories are available to expand system capabilities, including remote displays and centralised data acquisition.

Features

● Displays real-time readings alongside 15-minute and 8-hour time-weighted averages (TWAs), showing short term exposure and across a full shift.

● Customisable audible and visual alarms, including impending alerts, provide earlier notification and support a timely response.

● Built-in data logging and USB downloads provide a record of vapour levels over time to support trend review and event investigation.

● The PAA sensor’s patented filter reduces interference from other vapours, supporting accurate low-ppm readings.

● Plug-and-play installation with no IT integration required, and a password-protected touchscreen menu so only authorised users can change alarms and settings.

Sensor Exchange Program (SXP®)

Every ChemDAQ monitor is supported through the Sensor Exchange Program, renewed annually. Your department receives a new pre-calibrated sensor approximately every four months, ready to install.

● Simple ownership. Staff replace the sensor in minutes, with no calibration gas, equipment or expiration dates to manage, and no gap in monitoring.

● Documented accuracy. Each sensor arrives with a calibration certificate and full traceability for your records.

● Consistent performance over time. Regular replacement maintains accuracy year after year and keeps your system current with ChemDAQ’s latest sensor technology.

Factory calibration process

A monitor’s readings are only as reliable as its sensor calibration. Every E-Cell® sensor goes through the same controlled process before it ships:

● Sensors are inspected, cleaned, filters replaced and batteries checked.

● Each sensor is calibrated with the target gas it measures, at worker exposure concentrations.

● Calibration is computer-controlled, applying filtered air and a known concentration of target gas for a consistent process across every sensor.

● Sensitivity and response time are verified, recorded in a database and written to the sensor’s memory for full traceability
