Description
Disposable water systems are pressurised via the light source using room air. So, especially during a colonoscopy list, the room air becomes contaminated with micro-organisms from all previous patients. This air is then pressurised into the water bottle.
IN TESTS 50% OR MORE BOTTLES WERE CONTAMINATED.
THE SOLUTION
To prevent micro-organisms entering the water, we have introduced a microbiological filter into the cap itself. Tests show that over 24 hours after first use, the water is still bacteria free.
Scope Flow Pure for Pentax® Scopes with C02 Connection are compatible with all sterile water bottles supplied by Baxter, Fresenius and B-Braun. Tubing sets come sterile and are fully disposable, eliminating the need for reprocessing of reusable Air/Water bottles and tubing that are complex to clean and sterilise.
